“사람들은 얼굴이 있는 로봇에 더 감정적인 특성(상호작용을 하기 좀 더 편한)을 부여한다고 한다.”고 하네요.

“We found that participants, both younger and older, will assign emotional traits to a robot based on its face, which will determine what they are most comfortable interacting with“

(뭐 우리는 당연하다고 생각하고 연구해왔지만서도.. ㅎㅎ)

 

그리고 “작업의 종류와 나이에 따라 사람형 얼굴이냐, 로봇형 얼굴이냐, 혼합형이냐 등 차이점은 존재한다.”고 합니다.

“As a result, preferences for robotic appearance varied across tasks”

 

투자 조언 같은 걸 하는 decision-making 로봇이라면 젊은 사람들에게는 혼합형 얼굴이 더 익숙하고, 노인들에게는 사람형을 좋아한다고 합니다.

“for decision-making tasks, younger participants liked a mixed human-robot appearance, while older adults tended to prefer a more human face”

 

Social task에서는 모든 나이에서 사람형을 더 선호하고요.

“for the social tasks, both age groups preferred a more human face.”

 

그리고 오히려 개인적인 필요(샤워 같은 거)를 돕는 로봇은 사람같이 생긴 걸 별로 안 좋아한다는 말도 나오네요.
